Identiparts was an installation work created in 1998. The work consisted of one hundred packaged facial features (predominantly mouths, noses and eyelids) and packaged as cosmetics and labelled according to race. The work commented on the how easily our physical identities are able to be altered even to the point where one can change racial identity.
The original work was developed as an object based installation, but with further experimentation and documentation, site and context began to feature more prominantly as a part of the work. This particular example shows the objects photographed as a cosmetic counter promotional poster.
